International Evening

19th October marked an evening when students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration had a chance to brainstorm about international exchange opportunities offered by the Faculty.

Participants could learn about the available exchange programs from the colourful visual presentations provided by international students and lecturers. Representatives of the Management Development Institute in India and the University of Manitoba in Canada were mostly focused on the academic facilities and professional perspectives of the partnership, while MA and BA students from Kyoto Sangyo University in Japan and Savoie Mont Blanc University in France took the audience on a journey of student life.

Professor Beáta Farkas introduced the audience to the newest partner of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, namely the University of Manitoba in Canada. Great news! The agreement between the two universities make it possible for two students per academic year or four per semester to travel to Canada as honoured exchange students.

The faculty’s guests from the Management Development Institute of Gurgaon lead us through a very colourful and informative session about the culture and academic life of India. With eye catching slides, samples of spices and music, arts and science the presenters took the participants on a memorable trip.

Drawing from their own experiences the exchange students from Japan and France shared the advantages of being an exchange student in an international community. The main point of both presentations were that no matter how far apart our home universities may be, student life is always fun and exciting once you feel the international spirit!
